How quickly Kyler Murray can fit into the Vikings' offense

The Minnesota Vikings are turning the page and starting a new chapter in their long battle with the quarterback position. There is nothing they would love more than for former top pick J.J. McCarthy to be able to prove himself and be the guy for them.

Sadly, it does not seem that the Vikings will catch a break in that department. That is why they are turning to former top overall pick Kyler Murray, following his departure from the Arizona Cardinals. While some have high expectations for him with the Minnesota Vikings, some remain skeptical.

ESPN's Bill Barnwell was speaking on NFL Live recently and shared his doubts about how well he could fit into their offense right away. Barnwell argued, "I don't think Kyler Murray can just drop into the same offense they've run in years past and succeed."

Like any player coming into a new setting, there are some adjustments that need to be made. Looking back on Sam Darnold's season with the Vikings, he averaged 222 passing yards per game and threw 11 touchdowns in the team's first five games. From Week 6 on, he averaged 267 yards and threw 24 touchdowns down the stretch.

So patience may be needed, but Murray has a chance to be very efficient in this offense.
