The Green Bay Packers have some players who are in need of a solid 2026 season for different reasons. Whether it be searching for a new contract or playing to keep their job, Green Bay has some players looking for great 2026 seasons. But which player has the most on the line heading into the season? Let’s take a deeper dive into who one outlet believes it to be.
Jordan Morgan has the most on the line for the 2026 Green Bay Packers
The 2026 season means a lot for a handful of different Packers players. The Athletic’s staff wrote an article highlighting each team’s player who needs a strong 2026 season the most. For Green Bay, Matt Schneidman chose left tackle Jordan Morgan and wrote the following about him:
“Morgan, the Packers’ 2024 first-round pick, started at left tackle for Arizona in college and said shortly after in Green Bay that he wanted to prove he could be an NFL left tackle, too, despite questions about his arm length. Through two seasons, he hasn’t played a meaningful snap at left tackle and instead shuffled between three other spots on the offensive line. He’ll finally get his chance this season to protect Jordan Love’s blind side, and the Packers’ Super Bowl chances might hinge on his ability to do so.”
Morgan played 748 offensive snaps all over the offensive line (everywhere except center) in 2025. As primarily an offensive guard, he allowed 24 quarterback pressures, two quarterback hits, and four sacks as well as committing five penalties. With this being the third year and the penultimate year on his rookie deal as the Packers will likely not pick up his fifth-year option, this is a critical season for him.
If Morgan wants to be an offensive tackle, he needs to prove he can handle the edge rushers coming at him at a regular basis. They face teams with outstanding edge rushers this season, so it will be an intriguing test. He will likely be the starting left tackle for Week 1, but it will be interesting to see how he can handle playing the left tackle position on a consistent basis.
