Former Milwaukee Bucks forward Bobby Portis made it clear just who exactly is the greatest player of all time for him.

During a recent appearance on The Dan LeBatard Show, the former Arkansas Razorbacks star and veteran power forward said that when it comes to the GOAT talk, it’s LeBron James for him.

“NBA GOAT? LeBron James. I’m a LeBron fan…We could argue all day,” the 31-year-old Portis said.

The GOAT conversation has always been down to just two names, James and former Chicago Bulls superstar Michael Jordan.

Most older NBA fans and players would have Jordan as their pick, while those on the younger side of the age spectrum lean a little more toward the free agent forward.

Did former Bucks forward Portis subtly try to recruit James to Miami?

Speaking of which, James is still without a team, as he continues to weigh his options in the summer. The Heat are among those most linked to the four-time NBA Most Valuable Player, so Portis’ statement might be a subtle way for him to help Miami lure the future Basketball Hall of Famer.0

The Heat have already scored the biggest win in the offseason by successfully trading for Giannis Antetokounmpo from the Bucks.

Portis was the other player coming over from Milwaukee to the Heat in that transaction. The Heat would have a bigger chance to win it all if they add James into the fold, but no one really knows for sure at the moment what exactly is on The King’s mind.
