Occasionally, you come across a puppy who is so cute you just find yourself wanting to take a bite. And this sweet Golden Shepherd named Lila evokes that exact emotion.
Amelia, who shares content to her social media via the account @malcom.the.mutt, recently shared a video of the newest addtion to her family. Lila is an eight-week-old Golden Shepherd—meaning half Golden Retriever, half German Shepherd—and looks positively good enough to eat. Her beautiful coat is caramel colored and she is just delectable.

According to captions and comments left by Amelia on social media, Lila is totally in love with the water and has been enjoying exploring her great big world—safely and with supervision, of course. She is also already loving her big brother, Malcom, and it will be so fun to see how their relationship blossoms as Lila gets older.
Traits of a Golden Shepherd
A combination of two immensely popular breeds, Golden Shepherds have many qualities that people would want in a family pet.
Loving and sociable like a Golden Retriever but loyal and protective like a German Shepherd, these dogs make great family protectors and pals. Both breeds are extremely active, so they should be with people who can accomodate that. They're also incredibly intelligent so that combined with their activity level means they'll require (and respond well to!) a hefty amount of training to keep them engaged and stimulated.
It's worth noting that Golden Shepherd have very distinct coats and will likely shed. A lot. So regular grooming will need to be a part of their routine.
Golden Shepherds love their people and are also typically very good with kids and other animals. They can be prone to getting bored or lonely, so it's important to make sure they're properly exercised and not left alone for too long at a time.
All and all, Golden Shepherds are a unique and fun breed to consider! And best off all, you'll likely end up with a cutie just like little Lila.
