Sometimes our fur kids decide that they won't take no for an answer. Without many bargaining chips at their disposal, they dig in their heels, literally. This Golden Retriever, Maxi the Cream, flat out refuses to leave a restaurant because she knows that's where the fries are. Who could blame her?
"She wanted to stay at the restaurant, and I said no, it's time to go home, so now she's replaced me with a waitress who gave her one fry." The video shows the cream Golden gazing up lovingly at her new BFF, and not budging an inch. "She's put in her two weeks. I'm devastated," the caption quips. Even with context, we're still on team Maxi.
You would be hard-pressed to find a better comment thread than this one, as viewers brought their A game. Some, like @misscvntie, got into the pup's head, "'I wanna be where the fries are'—Maxi, probably." @Rinlee had nothing but praise for the Golden Retriever, "Baby knows all the treat dealers." She keeps a running list.
Finally, @anthony0ren perfectly summed up her thoughts: "This is my home now. This is where I belong."

Why Dogs Form Fast Bonds With New People Over Food
At this point, we strongly suspect that dogs domesticated themselves. Who wouldn't decide to take on the quiet life and get meals handed to them? Of course, the snack didn't use to come free, and many pups work hard on their "sit" to earn treats today. Some canines are more food-motivated puppers than others, but it all can trace back to their ancestors, wolves, who chose a human-filled life for the sake of scraps. Needless to say, it's a crucial part of the bond.
According to an article from The Farmer's Dog Digest, food helps bring pet parents and pooches closer together. Mealtimes present an opportunity to connect with your pup and give them needed mental or physical stimulation. "Knowing that food is a major motivator for dogs, and that they benefit from mental stimulation, dog [parents] can approach their pet’s breakfast or dinnertime as a chance for engagement." That can take the form of a short training session or a treat toy.
Maxi must understand a thing or two about her ancestral instincts because she immediately went to the human most likely to give her another fry.
