Fox News viewers furious over long-time host 'ruining the show' as they demand axe

The Five panel debated an array of topics

Fox News fans took to social media to slam host Jessica Tarlov after a heated on-air ICE debate between her and Greg Gutfeld, with some going as far as to ask for her to be sacked

Fox News viewers have seemingly reached their breaking point with The Five due to one particular individual.

The panel, made up of Greg Gutfeld, Jessica Tarlov, Jesse Watters, Dana Perino and Emily Compagno, tackled a variety of subjects ranging from Zohran Mamdani's threat to arrest Benjamin Netanyahu to the continuing controversy surrounding President Donald Trump's ICE crackdown.

Discussion of the ICE shootings led host Gutfeld to launch into an extended monologue. He began, "Both sides are guilty of this. A couple of days ago, a maniac in New York City attacked a baby in a stroller and hit the baby in the head with a phone. Turns out, the guy had 20-plus felony arrests, all kinds of violence. It follows Watters sparking uproar with a near-the-mark "rape" joke.

Gutfeld continued, "He was on the street. But if you ask any of these Democrats about that, they go, 'Well, what did the baby do? Was the baby Jewish?' We don't know. Did the baby deserve it? I have no idea.'"

"That's how they look at these things. Rather than the data, they kind of immediately go to the default both sides' story," he added. "What do you expect to happen when you remove debate?" Gutfeld asked the panel, before suggesting, "You're left only with violence.

"You have outspoken leaders, progressive leaders, saying it's immoral to engage in debate with evil people, and evil people are always on the other side." The 61-year-old comedian went on to reference Charlie Kirk, asserting, "That's what happens in a culture that's saturated with personalized attacks instead of ideas. And it's not just ICE, it's the border. It's crime, and it's trans.

"That's where you're seeing a lot of the violence. And we're not trying. It's not us who's trying to shut down speech. We're not the ones saying we don't want to talk to you. You know, we don't shut down protests."

Wrapping up his argument, he stated, "We don't try to get speakers thrown off colleges. We would say let's talk, but they say we don't talk to monsters. They will say Israel is genocidal. They will say Trump is racist. They'll say I'm a transphobe, and all of this is so they don't have to discuss it. You leapfrog over that, and you end up at one spot, and that is violence."

Tarlov hit back at Gutfeld's assertions, citing poll results and bringing the ICE killings of Renee Good and Alex Pretti into the debate. But Gutfeld shot back, "I don't understand how you can compare the two. They weren't being aggressive. They [ICE] have to do their job," a response that appeared to further agitate his co-host.

The exchange was subsequently shared on X, where viewers wasted no time in sharing their opinions. One user fumed, "I tried really hard to watch today, but I just couldn't do it. I can't stand Jessica. Her voice gives me high blood pressure.

"Tarlov ruins the show for so many of us. She is always angry, never smiles, and disagrees with everyone about everything. And she announced she's on the rest of the week. 4 days to Harold's one. Fox, WHY?????" another asked.

A third echoed, "Yesterday was such a great day with Harold on....WHY @thefivefnc DO YOU HAVE TO RUIN MY SHOW with @jessicatarlov TURNED IT OFF."

"I'm so sick of hearing Jessica saying "the poles show". Bulls--t..... I've never been poled so stop talking about the poles," someone else blasted. "Missed this because Jessica was on," a fifth joked prompting a sixth to agree, "Another episode I missed because of Jessica. Ugh. Where's Harold?"
