Donald Trump has lost a lot of supporters over his war in Iran.
The conflict started in February when U.S. and Israeli forces launched coordinated attacks on Iranian military sites, missile infrastructure and the country's capital, Tehran. Trump, 80, has claimed to have won the war multiple times, but the fighting is ongoing.
The war ramped up this week after Trump's memorandum of understanding fell apart. The renewed attacks have resulted in the deaths of more U.S. service members. The Iran war has also cost taxpayers a lot of money, with Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth estimating it to have cost $37.5 billion. He also said a further $88 billion is "necessary" to put into the war efforts.

MS NOW addressed the Iran war on Wednesday night's episode of The Briefing. During the July 22 episode, host Jen Psaki spoke about a new poll which shows even Trump's most loyal supporters are losing faith in him.
According to a poll released by Politico, only 37% of Trump voters supported the war even if it increases the cost of living, compared to 50% who voted that way in May. A huge 57% of respondents blamed the Iran war for increases in the cost of gas.
During the MS NOW broadcast, reporter Alex Tabet interviewed three-time Trump voters at a North Carolina gas station. They admitted the Iran war made them feel "angry."
One former Trump supporter said, "This war has been taxing on everyone. And I'm on a fixed income so it's, you know, all the ones on fixed income are really feeling it."
Tabet asked another former fan, "You can talk directly to the president, we know he likes to watch TV. What would you tell him about this war?" She replied, "President Trump, you shouldn't have got us in this war and was gonna end it fast, soon, and now you're starting all over again."
The host asked another woman, "Has the war helped your life at all?" She admitted, "No. For one thing, it causes me angst, makes me angry." She also said she's become "very disillusioned."
The former Trump supporter explained, "My entire family is disillusioned. And we are, and were, Trump supporters but this is, to me he's drawn a line in the sand and that's how I feel, that's how we all feel."
A clip of the MS NOW broadcast was shared on X, though viewers weren't sympathetic to the people interviewed. "We f--king told you maga marons," one person blasted.
Another fumed, "Please, these people knew he was a snake when they let him in… Three time voters, I have ZERO f--king sympathy for them!" while someone else echoed, "YOU voted for this s--t, YOU get to deal with the consequences! You deserve absolute ZERO sympathy from anyone!"
"When even longtime supporters say they’re disillusioned, politicians should listen," a fourth MS NOW viewer warned. "Foreign policy decisions have consequences—and voters are watching closely."
Another X user suggested, "Three-time Trump voters expressing disappointment is a powerful signal. Supporters can disagree with the direction and demand accountability."
