Erling Haaland didn't let his 26th birthday pass quietly. The Norwegian soccer star celebrated on a boat in the Mediterranean. On Instagram, he thanked everyone on Tuesday for all the well wishes and left no doubt about how good he's feeling right now.
Haaland wrote that he thanked everyone for all the love. His life has changed forever, and he loves it. Among those congratulating him was soccer star Neymar, who wished the Norwegian a happy birthday. Earlier, Haaland had already shared a snapshot showing him on the boat wearing a Viking helmet.

He spent his birthday with friends and his partner Isabel Haugseng Johansen (22). She posted a couple's photo and congratulated him with the words "Happy birthday, my darling". Haaland himself responded to her public greeting only briefly with a "nice".
Why his life has changed
The celebration was befitting his status. Haaland boarded a yacht with his girlfriend and friends, as "TMZ" reports. According to "Dagbladet", the striker is currently in Sardinia. The program included good food and a round of golf. At one point, Haaland put on the Viking helmet, and later he stood at the DJ booth himself in a dayclub.
His reference to his changed life doesn't come out of nowhere. Before the World Cup, Haaland was a big name; after the tournament, he's a global star who has gained popularity even outside the usual soccer audience. With Norway, he advanced to the quarterfinals, where they lost 2-1 to England. Haaland also left a lasting impression off the field, such as with a cowboy hat greeting from Dallas or a stuffed raccoon that he took back to Norway.
Athletically, the summer could still bring a crowning achievement for the soccer player. FIFA nominated twelve goals for the vote for the most beautiful goal of the World Cup, which can still be voted on until July 27, as "Nettavisen" reports. Among them is a shot by Haaland from 16 meters that he scored in the round of 16 against Brazil.
