Local sports fans will soon have another way to speak their minds, or at least ask questions.
The Enterprise is relaunching a weekly question-and-answer forum in which I'll answer sports questions submitted by readers.
Need to vent about the Houston Astros? This is your chance. Want a preview of your favorite high school football team? Just ask. Consider this a space for local sports fans to ask what's on their minds.

Here's how it will work: Readers will be asked to submit questions by email, and I'll answer them in the weekly "Matt's Mailbag" article.
This mailbag first launched in 2023, and questions poured in from local sports readers. We talked about all sorts of things: college recruiting in Texas, a talented WNBA prospect from Beaumont, even Jalen Hurts' performance in the Super Bowl.
Now, we want to re-engage with Southeast Texas' avid sports community by bringing back the weekly Q&A. I know there is plenty to talk about in Southeast Texas sports. I've covered the beat since 2017, which feels like forever in media years.
Again, topics can be pretty much anything sports-related. Just keep it respectful.
