A man has been arrested after police say he fatally shot an employee at a Mason door factory.

A man has been arrested after police say he fatally shot an employee at a Mason door factory.

David Cohen, 34, of Hamilton, is charged with murder in connection with a shooting Wednesday afternoon at the Carter Lumber facility in Mason, according to Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell.

Mason Police Chief Levi Wells said during a press conference that initial reports indicated an employee had been shot inside one of the warehouses off Reading Road around 1 p.m. July 22. When officers arrived, they found a dead man, Wells said.

Police have not released the man's identity, but Wells said his family has been notified.

Cohen is in custody at the Warren County Jail. He will be arraigned through Mason Municipal Court no earlier than July 23, Fornshell said. The investigation remains on going.

The company confirmed one of its employees had died following the shooting in a statement on Facebook.

"Our deepest condolences are with our employee’s family, loved ones, and coworkers during this incredibly difficult time. We are focused on supporting our employees and everyone impacted by this tragic event," company officials said.
