The National Weather Service Office at Wilmington has confirmed a tornado touchdown south of Amelia in Clermont County, officials said.

An EF1 tornado damaged homes and knocked over trees in southwest Amelia, which is in Pierce Township, on July 21 around 3 p.m., according to the weather service.

Officials estimate the peak wind speed to be 90 mph.

Prior confirmed tornadoes

The National Weather Service previously confirmed a prior tornado in Owen County, Kentucky.

Third tornado in Brown County

Officials also confirmed an EF0 tornado just east of Feesburg in Brown County.

It is estimated to have peaked at 75 mph, according to the National Weather Service of Wilmington.

Surveys still underway

Meteorologist Logan Clark said surveys are still underway in Clinton County.
