Zackary Nelson was arrested on July 21, 2026 by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Unit for the manufacture of child sexual abuse material, according to a post from the sheriff’s office.

According to HCSO, a search warrant was used for Nelson’s house, where they took numerous electronic devices of his. He was arrested at Daisy Elementary School, where he worked as a janitor, HCSO said.

Nelson was taken to the Hamilton County Jail & Detention Center and is being charged with sexual exploitation of a minor.

“If you choose to exploit children from a computer, remember that we still make house calls. Don’t be surprised when you look up from the screen and see us,” HCSO Criminal Investigations Unit said.

His court date is set for Monday.
