ARLINGTON (DC News Now) — A D.C. man was arrested in connection with a Crystal City bank robbery on Wednesday, according to the Arlington County Police Department.
Police said officers responded Tuesday shortly before 12:30 p.m. to reports of a bank robbery in the 1400 block of S. Eads St. in the Crystal City neighborhood.
There, an investigation found that a man had entered the bank, slid a note to the teller demanding money, and then ran off with an undisclosed amount.
According to police, no weapons were displayed, and no one was hurt.
Brian Frances, 36, was identified as a suspect, and Metro Transit Police arrested him Wednesday. He was charged with robbery and is being held in D.C. as he awaits extradition to Virginia.
