Damian Lillard may have moved on from his tenure with the Milwaukee Bucks, but apparently, the Portland Trail Blazers great still has some secrets he could spill if he so chooses. A Miami Heat fan got a rise out of him on Tuesday, which resulted in a vague yet highly intriguing social media post.
Major Passons reacted to a video that showed new Heat superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo working out in his native Greece with teammate Davion Mitchell, The X user took it upon himself to throw shade at Lillard. “Davion doing what Dame wouldn’t even do,” he remarked.
Lillard and Antetokounmpo reportedly did not get together during the summer of 2024, causing some Bucks fans to express concern heading into the 2024-25 campaign. The past speculation is resurfacing amid the Greek Freak’s high-profile breakup with Milwaukee. The 36-year-old point guard is not taking kindly to the suggestion that he was “a problem” during this brief era of Cream City hoops. He went right back at Major Passons.

“lol mfs don’t want Dame to tell it,” Lillard posted on X. “Be thankful I ain’t running my mouth like these other suckas… carry on.”
Back in May, Myles Turner called out Antetokounmpo and other Bucks players for frequently showing up late to team activities last season, but it is unclear if Lillard is specifically referencing the veteran center. Milwaukee essentially threw the future Hall of Famer to the side in favor of Turner last July, a move that has yet to yield prosperous results. There is another observation to draw from this retort, and it is quite a big one.
While it is always risky to interpret an athlete’s words, Lillard is seemingly hinting at some other Giannis-related controversy. Though, since the seven-time All-NBA selection is breaking out the old “I have the dirt, but I’m going to keep it to myself” spiel, fans can only imagine what he is alluding to with his curious comments.
But here is what the basketball world does know. Giannis Antetokounmpo is now chasing championships in Miami, the recovering Damian Lillard is seeking a memorable second stint in Portland and Milwaukee is in the midst of a huge reconstruction project. There are sure to be plenty of headlines that come out of these three aforementioned cities next season.
