According to the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were notified just before noon of a fatal accident near the 7000 block of North 15th East. Deputies from the Coroner’s Office and the Bonneville County Sheriff’s Office responded to investigate the incident.
Based on the preliminary investigation, the coroner’s office says it appears that Meyer lost control of the truck while driving northbound, which struck a tree and killed both Meyer and a dog inside the vehicle.
No other occupants were in the truck, and no other vehicles were involved.
The investigation remains ongoing.
“The Bonneville County Coroner’s Office extends its deepest condolences to Mr. Meyer’s family, friends, and all those affected by this tragic loss,” says Sanchez.
