Former North Carolina Tar Heels forward Caleb Wilson has only been in the NBA for just about a month now and he's already making a good first impression.
With the Chicago Bulls, Wilson had a standout Summer League, playing in four of the five possible games. He opened up his Summer League with a 35-point performance and then scored in double digits in each of the remaining three games. He was the best player on the court when he played and now he's earning some honors.
On Tuesday, the NBA named Wilson as one of five players on their All-Summer League First Team:
He was joined by Cameron Boozer, Brayden Burries, Yaxel Lendeborg and Meleek Thomas on the team. In his four games, Wilson averaged 23.5 points, 7.3 rebounds, 3.8 blocks and 1.8 assists per game.
Wilson shot 50 percent from the field, including 41.9 percent from the three-point line in the Summer League. The excitement around Wilson continues to grow and the hope is that he takes that into the preseason and regular season.
