Alabama football players on USA TODAY Sports preseason All-SEC team

With only 46 remaining until the 2026 college football season kicks off for the Alabama Crimson Tide, USA TODAY Sports has unveiled its preseason All-SEC team.

Alabama had two players named to the list: safety Bray Hubbard, a unanimous choice among similar preseason lists, and cornerback Zabien Brown. All players on the preseason All-SEC team were chosen by 15 members of the USA TODAY Sports network who cover SEC teams.

Hubbard started all 15 games in 2025 and earned All-SEC First Team honors by the AP and league coaches. He tied for the SEC lead in interceptions (four) and recorded 4.5 tackles for loss with six pass breakups and three forced fumbles.

Hubbard also made The Athletic's preseason All-SEC team and garnered preseason Second Team Walter Camp All-America honors in June. PFF ranked Hubbard the 15th-best overall player on its list of the best college football athletes entering 2026.

Brown has started all 28 games the past two seasons and has five career interceptions, 13 pass breakups and 4.5 tackles for loss. He had two key interception returns for touchdowns last season, a 99-yard pick six to close the first half against Tennessee and a game-tying 50-yard pick six in the College Football Playoff against Oklahoma.

Brown also made The Athletic's preseason All-SEC team.

Alabama opens its season on Sept. 5 against the East Carolina Pirates at Bryant-Denny Stadium. The game will be televised on ABC.
