Caitlin Clark named WNBA Eastern Conference Player of the Week

After a tremendous stretch of games, Caitlin Clark has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week for Week 5 of the 2026 WNBA season. It's the second time this season that Clark has captured the honor.

Clark scored 75 points in three games, which was the second-most scored by any player in the Eastern Conference last week. Clark averaged 25.0 points and 7.7 assists per game on 43.5% field goal shooting and 34.6% 3-point shooting.

Clark made history in Indiana's 110-107 July 17 win over the Seattle Storm, setting a new single-game Fever franchise scoring record with 45 points. In that game, Clark also became the first player in WNBA history to score 40 or more points and register 10 or more assists in the same game. It also marked Clark’s 20th points-assists double-double, tied for the fourth-most in WNBA history.

Clark also became the fastest player in WNBA history to record 200 career 3-pointers made last week, doing so in just 74 games.

With her fifth career Player of the Week selection, Clark joins Tamika Catchings (11) and Kelsey Mitchell (5) as the only Fever players to win five or more Player of the Week awards.

Clark was also named WNBA Associated Press Player of the Week.

Clark and the Fever (16-10) face the Connecticut Sun (7-19) on Wednesday night at Gainbridge Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. CT.
