Sunday gave Milwaukee Brewers fans a moment to remember for a long time, as William Contreras launched a three-run home run to save the day for the club in the series finale against the Miami Marlins at American Family Field in Milwaukee.
Down by a run and with an out in the ninth inning, the Brewers leaned on Contreras, who delivered in the clutch. Contreras took an 87 mph cutter right from Marlins reliever Pete Fairbanks on a 3-2 count and sent the ball deep for a 411-foot homer that also drove Jackson Chourio and Brice Turang home.
The cherry on top for Contreras was his epic batflip as he watched his tater.
After the game, the 2026 All-Star catcher shared his thoughts on his celly.
“It was the only thing that passed through my mind in the moment,” Contreras said, via Adam McCalvy of MLB.com. “Just enjoying the game out there.”

With his big night, Contreras improved his numbers on the season to .280/.346/.405. He now has a total of 10 home runs to go along with 57 RBIs so far in the 2026 campaign.
As for the Brewers, they joined two-time defending World Series champions Los Angeles Dodgers to have at least 62 wins through Sunday. Milwaukee carries a 62-37 record — six games better than the Chicago Cubs and the rest of the National League Central.
Coming up next for Contreras and Milwaukee is another three-game series at home, this time versus the New York Mets, which will begin Monday.
The Brewers will give the ball for that game to hard-throwing ace Jacob Misiorowski, while the Mets are expected to have former Milwaukee pitcher Freddy Peralta on the mound.
