Colston Loveland proved in his rookie season that he deserved to be drafted at No. 10 overall in 2025. The Chicago Bears tight end played in 16 regular-season games, including 11 starts. He recorded 58 receptions for 713 yards and six touchdowns, showcasing his elite skill set throughout the campaign.
The former Michigan Wolverines star garnered a lot of attention during his collegiate career, helping the program win the national championship in 2023. He also earned second-team All-American and second-team All-Big Ten the following year.
Loveland turned doubters into believers that he is a cornerstone for Chicago in the years to come. He is expected to play a bigger role in 2026 and surpass his numbers from last year.

The NFLPA released its rising stars list on Tuesday. It recognized 10 rookies and 10 veterans, with Loveland at No. 2 among experienced players. New Orleans Saints quarterback Tyler Shough is at No. 1, while Las Vegas Raiders tight end Brock Bowers and Kansas City Chiefs running back Kenneth Walker III are behind him.
“More than a watch list, the annual NFLPA Rising Stars report serves as a forecasting tool for brands, retailers, and partners looking to stay ahead of the curve,” the NFLPA wrote. “From product development and marketing campaigns to player partnerships and retail strategy, the list spotlights athletes poised to drive the next wave of consumer demand.
“Breakout rookies and emerging fan favorites alike are building momentum, capturing attention, and positioning themselves as the next big names in the business of football.”
Loveland shares the Bears tight end room with veteran Cole Kmet, and they’ll likely play a lot of snaps next season. The team will start its training camp on July 28 at Halas Hall in Lake Forest, Illinois. It will allow Loveland to show that he has more in his bag and is ready for a bigger 2026 campaign.
