Azzi Fudd will headline the field for the 2026 WNBA 3-Point Contest after the league announced the six-player lineup for Friday’s event, while Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever has declined to participate during All-Star weekend in Chicago.

Fudd, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 WNBA Draft, has quickly established herself as one of the league’s brightest young scorers during her rookie season with the Dallas Wings. Through 25 games, including 19 starts, she is averaging 13.3 points, 1.9 assists, 1.8 rebounds and 1.7 steals while shooting 45.9% from the field and 38.8% from 3-point range while logging 31.6 minutes per game.
WNBA All-Star weekend brings historic events to Chicago
Her outside shooting has been a key part of Dallas’ offense and one of the biggest reasons she earned a spot in the competition. Clark’s decision to decline the invitation leaves one of the WNBA’s premier long-range shooters out of the event, giving Fudd an opportunity to take center stage during Friday’s showcase.
The WNBA All-Star festivities run from Thursday, July 23, through Saturday, July 25, in Chicago. The weekend also will feature historic activations at the Obama Presidential Center, making the WNBA the first professional sports league to host events at the newly opened campus honoring former President Barack Obama. Fans also can attend WNBA Live presented by AWS at McCormick Place before the Kia WNBA 3-Point Contest and Shooting Stars competition at Wintrust Arena on Friday.
The weekend concludes with the 2026 WNBA All-Star Game on Saturday at the United Center. The game will air on ABC at 8:30 p.m. ET and feature starters including Caitlin Clark, Paige Bueckers, A’ja Wilson, Breanna Stewart, Olivia Miles, Natasha Howard, Aliyah Boston, Kelsey Mitchell, Jessica Shepard and Gabby Williams.
