The nostalgic new soda flavor has shoppers ready to stock up after one of A&W's most divisive releases.

Want a summer hack?

Place a mug in the freezer and head to your local grocer to stock up on root beer. It's the perfect treat for a blazing hot day.

If A&W had its way, you'd pack your fridge with its signature soda. After all, the iconic brand has been a staple passed down through generations since it first launched in 1919.

Whether you prefer regular or diet, root beer always goes down easy. But with A&W's latest product launch, you don't have to venture to the ice cream shop down the street—or whip up your favorite concoction in the kitchen.

The brand's new Root Beer Float flavor does the work for you — all it takes is a twist of the bottle or pop of the can.

With National Ice Cream Day now behind us, it's time to turn the page to another sweet tooth craving.

The latest soda drop pairs its signature root beer with vanilla ice cream-inspired flavors to mimic a classic root beer float. It's available in regular and 'Zero Sugar' varieties.

While the latest lineup addition obviously doesn't contain actual ice cream, according to fans, it certainly passes the vibe check.

One avid fan appeared less than impressed with A&W's Ice Cream Sundae flavor, commenting on Instagram, "Hopefully it's better than the ice cream sundae."

Another echoed the sentiment, writing, "I got burned so bad last summer when I bought a 12-pack of that abomination, 'Ice Cream Sundae' flavor. Never again."

Others, however, are already eager to get their hands on the new release, with one person declaring, "This is an ABSOLUTE pick-up."

The latest soda pairs A&W's signature root beer with vanilla ice cream-inspired flavors to mimic a classic root beer float — a natural fit for a brand that still operates more than 850 restaurants, where the classic root beer float remains a fan favorite.

If a frosty root beer float isn't enough to satisfy your summer cravings, quench your thirst with A&W's returning Lemonade Shake, available for a limited time at participating locations.
