The 2026-27 season may just be the final year Aaron Rodgers plays quarterback, as he is preparing for the upcoming campaign with the Pittsburgh Steelers. With training camp right around the corner, reports indicate that one of Rodgers’ protectors is making a change with his representation.
Spencer Anderson, who has been a guard for the Steelers since 2023, is entering a contract year in Pittsburgh. Before what could be the biggest year of his career, the 26-year-old offensive lineman is now being represented by a new agency, according to Chris Ward of Steelers Now.
“Heading into a contract year, Pittsburgh Steelers guard Spencer Anderson is now being represented by 1 of 1 Agency,” Ward wrote. “The agency revealed the news in an Instagram post. Two other players from the Steelers’ 2023 draft class are also represented by 1 of 1 Agency — outside linebacker Nick Herbig and defensive tackle Keeanu Benton.”

1 of 1 Agency shared the announcement on their Instagram account on Saturday, July 18. Anderson’s future contract will largely depend on his performance in the 2026-27 campaign. He will be playing next season in the final year of his four-year, $3,917,776 rookie contract.
Anderson was a seventh-round pick by the Steelers in the 2023 NFL Draft. Through three years in the league, the former Maryland Terrapin has played in 42 games in Pittsburgh (11 starts). He is contending for the starting right guard spot on the roster with free agent acquisition Brock Hoffman. Doug Nester may also be in the mix for the starting job.
While Anderson figures out his future, the Steelers are hoping for success next season with Aaron Rodgers under center once again. Pittsburgh won the AFC North title last year, but failed to make a deep playoff run. With Mike McCarthy stepping in as head coach, perhaps the club can get back to the Super Bowl for the first time since 2009.
