The Gist

  • Zendaya finally confirmed she’s married to Tom Holland during an unexpected fan conversation on July 20.
  • Holland, who co-stars with his wife in Spider-Man: Brand New Day and The Odyssey, first set the record straight during a June 16 interview.
  • Zendaya’s stylist Law Roach initially sparked rumors back in March after claiming their secret wedding “already happened.”

After months of speculation that Zendaya and Tom Holland said “I do” during a secret wedding, the British actor set the record straight at long last during a June 16 interview—and now the Euphoria actress is following suit. Zendaya finally confirmed she’s married to her longtime Spider-Man co-star with a cheeky retort to a fan as they promoted the franchise’s latest film together in Mexico City.

In a video shared by a digital content creator on July 21, Zendaya hard-launched her new relationship status during a Spider-Man: Brand New Day event the previous day. As she walked on the red carpet with Holland, a fan could be heard propositioning her, asking, “Will you marry me, please?” However, The Odyssey actress quickly confirmed she’s already taken, laughing as she responded, “You’re too late!”

Rumors first began circulating in March after Zendaya’s longtime stylist Law Roach claimed that the couple was married after saying their wedding “already happened.” However, the Challengers star stayed mum at the time, even as eagle-eyed fans dissected her new ring stack and various sweet public interactions with her rumored husband.

Holland finally came clean during a mic-drop moment in an interview with Esquire when he was asked about viral AI-generated wedding photos that appeared to depict the couple at their nuptials. When the interviewer asked Holland if he’d had to tell his family the photos were fake, he bluntly responded, “No, because they were all there.”

Since then, Holland has been dropping comments left and right on the press circuit trail. In a recent interview with Wired, The Odyssey actor had a hilarious response when asked if Zendaya’s character Athena potentially had feelings for Matt Damon’s Odysseus in the recent Christopher Nolan film. “No, because she’s married to me,” he replied. Holland also oh-so-casually referred to Zendaya as his “wife” during a recent video interview.
