The biggest domino in NBA free agency this offseason has yet to fall.
LeBron James is currently an unrestricted free agent (UFA) after he made it known earlier this summer that he would not return to the Los Angeles Lakers despite the 22-time All-Star and four-time NBA champion vowing to play in a 24th season during the upcoming 2026-27 NBA season.
It's the first time James will be on a new team since 2018, when he departed the Cleveland Cavaliers, the organization that drafted him in 2003, a second time to join the Lakers for the next eight years, which included an NBA title in the bubble during the 2020-COVID shortened season.

James has been linked and rumored to multiple teams in the Philadelphia 76ers, Golden State Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves along with potential reunion spots with the Cavaliers and Miami Heat.
