There is no doubt that Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series really is in the upper echelons of fantasy creations of the last hundred years or more. While The Lord of the Rings deservedly secured its solo spot at the top of the tree, if only for how influential it is, there are few others that can claim to be as complete as Jordan's epic.
As such, it's always nice to see it crop up as the theme for a new release, whether that be as a new show, game or anything else. Though we won't be getting any more of the Prime Video adaptation, the green shoots of hope can be found if you know where to look, and one upcoming arrival in particular has the chance to be one of the best ever.
Over on Kickstarter, you can find the funding campaign for War of the Dragon: The Wheel of Time, the first board game adaptation of the series. It has blown past its initial target, raising well over a million dollars at the time of writing from over 6000 backers who all want to get in on the fun.
It also happens to be one of the most complete campaigns in the history of the platform, with tons of tiers available for potential players to buy in at. One of those is The Last Battle, which includes the deluxe version of the game, as well as all of the currently available cosmetics. Priced at $289, here's everything you can expect from the release at that tier:

In explaining what fans can expect from the game itself, the developer shared plenty of information so consumers can make an informed decision.

It's certainly a compelling enough premise, and one that has Wheel of Time fans signing up in spades. The game isn't expected to launch until 2027 though, so if you do decide to take the leap, be aware that you'll be in for a bit of a wait.
