Ted Lasso‘s fourth season is nearly here, and Apple TV is giving fans a closer look at what’s to come as the streamer unveils an all-new photo with lots of hidden clues about the characters viewers have come to love over the years.
As audiences will recall, Ted Lasso concluded its third season back in 2023, following the titular coach back to Kansas City, where he reunited with his wife Michelle (Andrea Anders) and son Henry. Although Michelle and Ted’s marriage had gone through its ups and downs, with a separation and even ties with other romantic interests, it was hinted that they managed to reconcile.
But could this latest look at Season 4 offer new insights about their relationship as well as the context for the gathering that includes Keeley (Juno Temple), Rebecca (Hannah Waddingham), Lesley (Jeremy Swift), and Ted’s mom, Dottie (Becky Ann Baker)? Situated on what appears to be a set of bleachers, it seems that the gang is cheering on Henry (Grant Feely), who is offscreen, but does that mean Ted’s happy ending with his family has remained intact?
The image was shared to Apple TV’s official X account, with the caption, “Everyone wins when you believe.”
While Ted and Michelle sit next to each other, it doesn’t appear that they’re wearing wedding rings, but rather that they’re putting on more of a supportive co-parenting front. And based on the box next to Rebecca on the bleachers, this scene is unfolding in Kansas City, as the logo for Gates Bar-B-Q — a local staple — can be seen.
As the previously released teaser revealed, Henry and Michelle will cheer Richmond on from the stands, hinting at their inclusion in Ted’s choice to return to coaching in England, but is it a permanent move or merely a visit that brings them there? Only time will tell.
And for fans keeping hope alive for the ship known as Tedbecca, we’d advise that they not hold their breath because her relationship with Matthijs (Matteo van der Grijn) remains intact, as the pair were seen kissing in the teaser trailer.
