Psst, Tracker fans—you may have missed some important news from Justin Hartley about season 4.
The hit drama is currently on hiatus, and viewers are itching to see Justin back in action as Colter Shaw. And while folks are aware that Tracker is relocating to Los Angeles for season 4, which is set to premiere this fall on CBS, Justin did a solid for his followers by subtly dropping an exciting update on social media.
As Justin shared on his Instagram story on July 7, Tracker season 4 has begun production and is filming new episodes. He also let fans know that the first episode is being directed by producer and former Thirtysomething star Ken Olin. Ken and Justin have a long-term connection, as Ken was an executive producer on Justin’s previous TV show, This Is Us.
Justin has been open about the changes coming to the show this season.
“In terms of tone and character, I don't think [the show’s relocation] impacts the show at all,” he explained to The Wrap back in May, right after the Tracker season 3 finale aired on TV. “Our show is a road show. Our character goes from town to town across the United States of America and meets people from all different walks of life and helps them out. These strangers become kind of his family in a way.”
“To be able to shoot in a different place that gives us different landscapes, we're able to go to places—New York, D.C., the desert, Texas, the beach,” Justin added. “It just opens up our world in terms of landscape, which is such a big character of our show.”
Well, it looks like we have something to look forward to this fall!
