Wendy’s is bringing an international favorite meal to the US for a limited time

Wendy’s has restaurants in over 30 countries, so it’s no surprise that fans experience a little menu envy now and then. Sure, here in the U.S., we have a solid selection of sandwiches, themed meals, and Frostys to choose from, but that doesn’t stop us from noticing exciting international launches.

Earlier this summer, Wendy’s teamed up with Sega to bring a unique meal to restaurants in the U.K., much to the disappointment of stateside fans.

Now, the meal is coming to the U.S., but you can only get it for a limited time.

Wendy’s Launches Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meal in the United States

This summer marks the 35th anniversary of Sonic the Hedgehog’s first video game, and what better way to celebrate than with a new meal. Now through September, Wendy’s guests can order Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meals at participating locations nationwide.

When you order Wendy’s Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meal, you’ll receive one of seven collectible character card cases. Inside, you’ll find a unique set of cards featuring a mix of heroes and villains.

The card sets include: Sonic the Hedgehog, Amy Rose, Miles “Tails” Prower, Silver the Hedgehog, Knuckles the Echidna, Shadow the Hedgehog, and Rouge the Bat.

As far as food, each Sonic the Hedgehog Kids’ Meal comes with your choice of entrée, side, and drink. Choose from two-piece chicken tenders, four-piece chicken nuggets, a hamburger, or a cheeseburger. For a side, you can pick Wendy’s Jr. Hot & Crispy Fries or Apple Bites. To finish off the meal, choose milk, juice, lemonade, or a fountain drink.

On Instagram, food reviewer @markie_devo shared a photo of the offering, and fans were thrilled to see that it’s now available in the U.S.

“Yes! Finally! That’s what I’ve been waiting for!” said one thrilled fan.

“These are absolutely brilliant,” wrote another.

“Reminds me of the gold-plated Pokémon cards!” a third exclaimed.

Just like Sonic, these collectibles are sure to go fast. They’re only available while supplies last, so head to the drive-thru sooner rather than later if you want a chance to collect all 35.
