TEXARKANA, TX (KTAL/KMSS) – On Tuesday, it was announced that Mary Chris “MC” Vogt would be promoted to the head women’s basketball coach at Texas A&M Texarkana.
Vogt spent the 2025-2026 season with the Eagles, as an associate head coach and recruiting director. In that season, the Eagles put up a 20-10 record.
Prior to her time in Texarkana, Vogt served as an assistant and chief of staff/director of operations for the women’s basketball team at University of Louisiana Lafayette for 10 seasons.
Before ULL, Vogt spent five seasons on staff at Texas A&M as an assistant video coordinator and helped in recruiting.
The hire comes as the TAMUT athletic department begins its transition to a Division II program. The Eagles will begin its probationary Division II membership in the 2027-2028 seasons in the Lone Star Conference, with official membership coming in Fall of 2029.
