Vanderbilt has inked a multi-million-dollar jersey patch partnership with SRM Concrete, sources tell On3. One of Commodore athletics’ top partners, SRM previously had the naming rights agreement for the club area at FirstBank Field.
The third jersey patch deal in the SEC, it will be on all Vanderbilt athletic uniforms across 17 sports. Vanderbilt joins Arkansas (Tyson Foods) and LSU (Woodside Energy) as fellow SEC schools with patches. Vanderbilt’s deal was brokered by Learfield.
“As we prepare for a new year of unforgettable moments and inspiring performances, I’m gratified that SRM Concrete will be with us everywhere Commodores compete through these jersey patches,” Vanderbilt athletic director Candice Storey Lee said. “Our student-athletes embody a university committed to setting a new standard for national excellence without sacrificing values forged in the Nashville community we call home. As a company with similar roots and ambitions, SRM Concrete shares our vision for what is possible for Vanderbilt Athletics.”
SRM Concrete is led by Vanderbilt alum and CEO Jeff Hollingshead and was founded in 1999. Full terms of the deal were not shared with On3.
More than 25 schools to date have now inked jersey patch partnerships, with more deals expected in the ramp-up to college football season.
The Big 12 became the first conference recently to ink a jersey patch sponsorship, signing a $20 million annual deal with Monster Energy for jerseys, fields and courts. Member institutions are expected to receive roughly $1 million per year from the deal.
