Ukraine signs deal to produce British L119 light guns

The agreement was signed at the Farnborough International Airshow in England. The British statement did not name the Ukrainian partner company.

The agreement provides for the transfer of technical information and support for the production of the first gun and its subsequent testing.

It also covers the development of a locally produced version of the L119 gun for future use by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. Defense Express said the system could be modified based on military requirements and operational experience.

For example, the gun could be mounted on a different carriage, potentially one designed in Ukraine. Other modifications could involve targeting equipment, the fire control system and integration with Ukraine’s Kropyva battlefield management system.
