President Donald Trump posted an image of Vice President JD Vance and second lady Usha Vance’s new baby before they did.
The president congratulated the couple and described their son as the “perfect baby boy” in the caption of a Truth Social post early Monday.

Their newborn, Alec Neel Vance, joins his older siblings Ewan, 9; Vivek, 6; and Mirabel, 4.
Trump shared a photo of Vivek holding his new sibling as Mirabel looked on.
The Vances announced the birth of their fourth child, the first born to a sitting vice president since the 1870s, in an X post on Sunday. They did not include a photo of him at the time.
“We are excited to announce that our baby boy, Alec Neel Vance, was born this morning. Usha and the baby are happy and healthy, and our kids are overjoyed to meet their little brother,” the couple said in a statement signed by them both.

The Vances also thanked the “incredible” military doctors and staff members at Walter Reed Medical Center and the White House Medical Unit, calling them a “blessing.”
The vice president, 41, told NBC News in May that he’s not planning to take a formal paternity leave.

“It’s one of these jobs where it’s impossible to completely disconnect from it. The good thing about having a little bit of control over your schedule in your life is that you can incorporate your kids in your job in a way that they love,” he told the outlet.
He added, “I think it’ll mean the kids are probably here at the White House more than they have been the last few months, and I’ll probably be at home a little bit more, and we’ll just make it work.”
The vice president also told NBC that his wife will “take a long period out of the public eye” after welcoming their child.
