The post, published at 12:35 a.m. EDT on July 16, linked to Director of the White House Presidential Personnel Office Dan Scavino's Instagram video of himself bowling a strike in the White House bowling alley. In the caption, Scavino joked, "MINUS going bald — there's one thing I called correct this evening — A STRIKE!" The archived record indicates the post was only up for under 2 hours early Thursday morning before it was removed.
The deletion is unusual because Trump has previously said that only he and Scavino have access to his Truth Social account and the content deleted was a video of Scavino. Trump regularly uses the platform to announce policy decisions, political endorsements, and messages to other countries, making the brief promotion and subsequent deletion of the bowling video an uncommon move.
