Most members of Donald Trump's Cabinet have launched official TikTok accounts following the Department of Justice's approval of the platform for federal employees.
Trump's Cabinet secretaries joined the app collectively on Tuesday, July 21, as part of a coordinated effort to engage younger demographics and establish a standard government presence on the platform.
The legal prohibition on federal devices was removed because TikTok USDS now handles and maintains all US user data within Oracle's domestic cloud infrastructure, following national security concerns that were previously raised about the app. This comes as the TikTok Never Dies documentary reveals how Trump reversed the app's ban.

Announcing the rollout of the new official accounts, the White House posted on X, "The Trump Administration Cabinet JUST HIT TIKTOK. Don't miss a second of the hype. See you there."
The marketing post included the iconic riff from The White Stripes' 2003 track Seven Nation Army, which was previously at the heart of a legal conflict with Donald Trump, reports the Express US.
During the 2024 presidential campaign, Trump aide Margo Martin shared a video of him boarding an aircraft as the song played in the background, prompting Jack White - who formed half of the rock duo, alongside his ex-wife Meg White - to denounce the usage.
"Don't even think about using my music, you fascists," Jack fumed in an Instagram post responding to the video. "Lawsuit coming from my lawyers about this (to add to your 5 thousand others.) Have a great day at work today, Margo Martin."
Despite the clip eventually being taken down, Jack followed through on his legal warning, with the White Stripes filing a copyright infringement lawsuit in September 2024, naming Trump, Martin and the Trump campaign as defendants.
The suit accused Trump and his team of "flagrant misappropriation" when they used the track's "highly-distinctive and immediately recognizable introductory riff" as the backdrop to a clip showing Trump boarding a plane en route to campaign stops in Michigan and Wisconsin.
However, just two months later, in November 2024, the band withdrew the lawsuit. The former bandmates opted to dismiss the claims "without prejudice," meaning they could potentially choose to refile them at a later date.
The latest coordinated rollout of TikTok accounts comes on the heels of a Justice Department decision to permit federal employees to use the app on work devices, following the platform's U.S. operations being sold to a U.S.-backed joint venture involving Oracle, Silver Lake and MGX.
The administration's collective presence can be accessed through its dedicated accounts, alongside Trump's highly active personal profile. The White House has launched an official Cabinet account to document "iconic moments" and updates directly from the administration's senior officials.
A separate White House account will be utilized to broadcast broader executive messaging to the platform's user base. Newly established accounts include those belonging to the US Departments of Energy, Veterans Affairs (VA), Education, Justice, Homeland Security, Interior and Health and Human Services (HHS).
HHS Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. and Homeland Security Secretary Markwayne Mullin have also set up their own individual accounts.
