Laura Loomer's followers believe her account may have been hacked after the MAGA influencer admitted to being wrong.
On July 21, Laura Loomer took to X to share her thoughts on the Russia-Ukraine conflict after she visited Europe on a supposed fact-finding mission. The far-right political activist and commentator visited Ukraine to investigate claims about the war and assess the impact of Russian disinformation.
Having previously been a vocal critic of Ukraine, often opposing U.S. aid and echoing Kremlin narratives on her platforms, her trip to the country marked a dramatic public U-turn in her stance, which has led social media users to believe she'd been hacked. This comes as Loomer was recently compared to "Satan."

During her trip, Loomer claimed she had experienced her "first air raid," shockingly telling her fans, "I feel like such an a--hole for minimizing the struggle of Ukrainians for the last 5 years. I often said I don’t care. Looking back, that wasn’t very nice of me to say."
In an unusual move for the Donald Trump ally, she continued to admit she was wrong, adding, "There are people in Ukraine who have to run to a bomb shelter every day and some of us had the audacity to say Russia wasn’t wrong because we believed the lie that Ukraine is a country full of Nazi sympathizers."
Claiming the United States had been "propagandized" by Russia, Loomer shared concerns that Ukraine's fate could soon be that of the United States.
Following her post, her followers reached out, believing she may have been hacked, as one person commented, "W-f Laura, someone hacked your account? If not, THANKS!"
Others were confused at how it took her so long to come to this conclusion, as one added, "It's bizarre that you had to go to Ukraine to believe this. Have you considered reading? Every credible news source in the US has reported on this extensively."
"You finally posted something with some sense. Nice job. Seriously," penned another, while a final person concluded, "As per usual, your rat a-- only understands when it happens to you."
However, Loomer didn't stop there as she posted an unusual image of her eating a McDonald's burger in a warzone. In her X post, she wrote, "Russia Targets American Businesses in Kyiv: Iconic McDonald’s Endures Repeated Attacks From Russian Ballistic Missiles Proving Russia's Disdain For America."
The post, which was rather long, praised the resilience of McDonald's, adding, "It's also a reminder that Russia wants to destroy American businesses. Kyiv's McDonald's is not collateral damage. It is the deliberate targeting of a society trying to live normally and free from communism.."
She then claimed, "Even though I never eat fast food, I ordered a cheeseburger, fries and a Diet Coke to show my support. There's nothing like enjoying a meal with the backdrop of a Russian ballistic missile attack and blown-out windows at McDonald's to really make you appreciate being an American and evaluate your prior perspective on US support for Ukraine."
