AUSTIN (KXAN) — Each year, the Atlantic hurricane season officially runs from June 1 through Nov. 30. This year is expected to have fewer storms than usual, with the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) predicting a below-average season.

Tropical Storm Bertha
Here’s the latest information, as of 4 p.m. Wednesday:
- Tropical storm, with maximum sustained winds of 45 mph.
- Located about 25 miles southeast of New Orleans, Louisiana.
- Moving west at 7 mph.
- July 19, 10 a.m.: Tropical Depression Two formed about 155 miles south of Panama City, Florida. TD Two had maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and was moving north-northwest at 2 mph.
- July 20, 7 p.m.: Tropical Depression Two strengthened into Tropical Storm Bertha about 110 miles south of Panama City, Florida. Bertha had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and was moving west-northwest at 3 mph.
- July 20, 10 p.m.: A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Gulf Coast between the Alabama-Florida border and the Jefferson-Plaquemines parish line in Louisiana.
- July 21, 10 a.m.: Tropical Storm Bertha reached its maximum intensity, with 60 mph winds. A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Florida coast from the Alabama border to the Bay-Gulf line border, and for the Louisiana coast from the Jefferson-Plaquemines parish line to the Terrebonne-Lafourche parish line.
- July 21, 4 p.m.: A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Louisiana coast from the Terrebonne-Lafourche parish line to Morgan City, and for Metropolitan New Orleans and Lake Ponchartrain.
- July 22, 2 p.m.: Tropical Storm Bertha made landfall near the Biloxi Wildlife Management Area in St. Bernard Parish, Louisiana. Bertha had maximum sustained winds of 45 mph and was moving west-northwest at 7 mph.
- July 22, 4 p.m.: A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Louisiana coast from Morgan City to Cameron.

Tropical Storm Arthur
- June 16, 10 a.m.: The National Hurricane Center identified Potential Tropical Cyclone One about 65 miles southwest of Corpus Christi, Texas. PTC One had maximum sustained winds of 30 mph and was moving northeast at 6 mph.
- June 16, 4 p.m.: A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Louisiana coast from Sabine Pass to Morgan City.
- June 17, 10 a.m.: Tropical Storm Arthur formed about 40 miles east-northeast of Port O’Connor, Texas. Arthur had maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and was moving northeast at 9 mph. A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Texas coast from High Island to the Louisiana border.
- June 17, 11:30 a.m.: A Tropical Storm Warning was issued for the Texas coast from Sargent to High Island.
- June 17, 10 p.m.: Tropical Storm Arthur became a post-tropical cyclone about 35 miles north-northeast of Galveston, Texas. Arthur had maximum sustained winds of 35 mph and was moving northeast at 9 mph.
