A three-year-old girl drowned at Fleming Meadows Lagoon at Lake Don Pedro on July 18.
The Tuolumne County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were conducting patrols on the lake shortly after 3:30 p.m. when they received reports the child was missing and may have drowned.
Arriving deputies found people performing CPR on the child. Emergency personnel took over the life-saving efforts, but ultimately, she died at the scene, deputies said.
The sheriff’s office is asking for public assistance as they are investigating the incident, including any photos/videos of the child on the lake or in a raft investigators believe is connected to the incident.
They are also asking any witnesses who may have seen the child before she was pulled out of the water to contact Detective Bomer at (209) 694-2904.
