The jury has reached a verdict in the retrial of Carlos Dominguez.
Jurors found Dominguez guilty of two counts of involuntary manslaughter. He was found not guilty of two counts of second-degree murder and one count of attempted murder.
Dominguez, a former UC Davis student, was accused of killing two men and injuring a woman in Davis back in 2023.
The first trial ended in a deadlocked jury. Dominguez was found not guilty of first-degree murder, but the jury couldn't agree on the second-degree murder charge.
The defense said Dominguez has schizophrenia and that it played a role in the attacks. During the original trial, Dominguez pleaded not guilty by reason of insanity.
