Daily walks are a must for our pups. But sometimes getting them on their leash is a huge challenge. I often find myself searching for the ring on Grizzly's collar and dodging sniffs and licks in the process, which can truly be a pain. Even if he stops happy bouncing, he is never completely still. But with the Clickette Magnetic Leash and Harness set, the latching mechanism is two halves of an industrial-strength magnet that can't help but come together once they are in the same sphere.
The first time Grizzly and I tried it, the leash snapped into place on the harness with very little effort. We even gave the company's one-handed claim a go, and it did in fact attach and lock when the two halves were near one another. There was also the trademark audible click, signifying that the two would not be separated anytime soon.

For the first ten minutes of his walks, Grizzly can be quite the puller. We have dozens of dogs walk by our house every day, and he is borderline maniacal about checking out who has been by and how far they came onto our property. Sometimes he gets pretty invested and holds his ground, fully ignoring any commands to "leave it" and "let's go," pulling hard to stay in his spot. During this lovely part of our walks, the leash and harness stayed connected, not budging an inch.
I also appreciate the 360-degree rotatable buckle, which prevents tangling while walking. No matter which direction Grizzly went, whether it be to sniff or to look after a squirrel, I didn't need to adjust the leash. The swivel connection did all the work for me.
The leash was comfortable to hold throughout the walk, giving me plenty of control as needed. Plus, Grizzly's poop bag dispenser fits perfectly on the handle and within reach when needed.
Overall, Grizzly seems pretty comfortable sporting the harness on walks, in the car, around the house, and running around poolside. He is sporting the red harness set in a large and a large/x-large in the collar.

The set is available for pups in sizes x-small to x-large, in red, pink, orange, blue, and black. For a precise fit, enter your dog's neck and chest measurements in the fit calculator on Rescue Retriever's website. You can also go by weight if you aren't concerned about the chest range.
X-small will fit pups as little as 8.8 pounds, and the x-large will fit pups up to 110 pounds, leaving very few pups behind.
Taking the leash off the harness is nearly as easy as putting it on. All you have to do is press the quick-release buttons, and it pops right off. Something so simple is hard to believe can withstand up to 900 pounds of tensile force. But it definitely does!
