One look at these puppies, and you'll find yourself trying to remember all their names. Each one has been given a pattern-inspired name that has pet parents completely smitten.

The puppies are in the care of Hope Animal Rescue, an all-volunteer nonprofit founded in 2013 by Raleigh-area mother-daughter duo Cathy and Ashley Threadingham. They operate entirely through a network of foster homes across North Carolina's Triangle region. Their rescued pups all live in foster homes, not a kennel, until they are ready for adoption.
The Patter Pups Win Over the Internet
Hope Animal Rescue recently shared a photo of the puppies on Instagram under their collective name "Pattern Pups," writing, "These sweet babies have been at Camp Carter for a week and are loving their new digs. They're sweet, silly, and smart!"
Naturally, users quickly flooded the comments. "Absolutely OBSESSED with these names," one follower wrote. Another, whose Instagram handle is @polkadot.unicorn, called it the best litter naming she'd ever seen: "For obvious reasons — this is my favorite liter [sic] group naming!!!!!!"
"How clever! I don't know how you can tell some of them apart!" another commenter added.
It's Impossible to Pick a Favorite
The Pattern Pups are comprised of three girls and three boys, each with names that seem perfectly suited.
The girls are Polka Dot, Paisley and Gingham. Polka Dot has a gray-blue brindle coat and pale blue eyes, with a direct, almost searching gaze. Paisley has a wider face, with a white blaze running up the center of her muzzle and a quizzical expression that's hard to scroll past. Gingham, also gray-eyed with a white chest marking, stands in her foster photos like she already owns the place.
The boys have just as much personality. Chevron has a deep chocolate brindle coat and a white chest splash. In his photos, he looks exactly like a puppy who just realized there's an entire world happening around him. Plaid has the same striking blue eyes as his sisters but a slightly slimmer build. Argyle is the darkest of the six, with an almost black-brindle coat and wide blue eyes.
How to Adopt the Pattern Pups
The Pattern Pups are available through Hope Animal Rescue. Applications for all six pattern puppies should open soon. The rescue likes to monitor foster puppies for a few weeks before they get them ready for adoption. However, there are plenty of other dogs ready for adoption on the website, hopeanimals.org.
