Hayley Hendrich and Blake Robertson have had the whole internet talking. Now that The Ultimatum: Marry or Move On Season 4 finale and reunion have arrived, the duo is breaking their silence on their split, Blake’s arrest, and more.
During this season of The Ultimatum, viewers got to know Hayley, 23, and Blake, 26. After just a year and a half together, Blake gave Hayley an ultimatum, letting her know that he wanted to take things to the next level. As she told Swooon, “I was so young… For me, I was like, ‘Okay, I just graduated college. Like, I have no business getting married right now.’” Still, the couple entered the Netflix reality series to explore whether their connection was worth a lifetime commitment.
While the duo found themselves at the center of the drama this season, Hayley and Blake’s relationship status was a hot topic of conversation after a report surfaced about Blake getting arrested last year. Scroll to find out everything we know about the couple, Blake’s controversy, and what they’ve said about their status today below.
Are Hayley and Blake still together?
During the reunion, Hayley and Blake revealed that they broke up a few months after filming ended. Hayley told Swooon, “It was a hard decision. And looking back, I really wish that we wouldn’t have [gotten engaged]. When we got back home, it just was — really, it was not good. We did not get to enjoy one bit of our engagement at all, and it lasted what, four months? So it was very hard.”
Why was Blake arrested?
On July 18, TMZ reported that Blake “was arrested after being accused of an assault involving his girlfriend, Hayley Hendrich,” in October 2025. This took place after the season had filmed. His attorney explained in a statement, “Blake’s case was rightfully dismissed by the prosecutor almost immediately, and all records were expunged.”
On the What’s the Reality? podcast, Hayley shared her perspective on his arrest, which was not fully addressed at the reunion. She explained that the incident occurred the day before she was moving out of his house. She alleged that Blake came home “wasted” after an event. While arguing, Blake grabbed Hayley by the back of her sweatshirt, trying to drag her out of the house. According to Hayley, Blake’s family lives next door, so Blake’s dad called the police on Hayley, without checking in on them. When the police came, they asked Hayley what had happened, listened to her recording of their argument, and arrested Blake. Ahead of the reunion, Hayley signed an affidavit on Blake’s behalf, getting his charges dropped.
Addressing his arrest, she told Swooon, “I don’t like when people do not take accountability for what they do. I don’t like when people spin things to benefit themselves. That’s basically the theme of the conversation. I was trying to make sure that we’re living in an actual reality, and not just gonna spin things to benefit ourselves.”
How did Hayley and Blake meet?
Hayley revealed to Swooon that she and Blake met while she was doing a brief nannying gig for his dad and stepmom when she was in college. While Blake got flirty with Hayley during her time with the family, she waited until reconnecting with Blake at an event before they started dating. “I ran into him, and that day, he like told me like 100 reasons why he wanted to take me on a date,” she explained. “I was like, ‘Okay, if you’re that desperate, fine, we can go.’ After that day, we were inseparable.”
Did Hayley and Blake get engaged?
Blake and Hayley did get engaged during the Season 4 finale. However, neither felt like it was the right choice. Hayley told Swooon, “When he proposed to me, I had a gut feeling that something was wrong. I did not think that it was the right thing to do, but I also didn’t want to leave by myself.”
