WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A teenager was shot in Southeast D.C. on Wednesday evening.

The Metropolitan Police Department (MPD) said officers were called to the 1900 block of 19th Place just before 6 p.m. for reports of a shooting.

Responding officers found a teenage boy who had been shot. He was still conscious and breathing when he was taken to the hospital.
