Are you a true celebrity if you weren't in attendance at the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup Final on Sunday afternoon?
Nearly every celebrity in America appeared to be in attendance at the 2026 FIFA Men's World Cup Final in New Jersey on Sunday. Spain topped Argentina, 1-0, to host the golden trophy at Metlife Stadium, with thousands of fans - and hundreds of celebrities - in attendance.
Everyone, from Tom Cruise to Tom Brady to Livvy Dunne to President Trump, was in attendance on Sunday. However, quite a few celebrities were mistakenly identified, which had to be a major blow to their egos.
Matt Damon, who is starring in Christopher Nolan's new film, "The Odyssey," was mistakenly identified as another Hollywood star, Brad Pitt.
To be fair to the FOX announcer, Damon and Pitt do look quite alike these days, given that they're both rocking goatees.
"Brad Pitt also among the fans here," John Strong said.
"Oh, that's Matt Damon," Stu Holden corrected his partner.
FOX wasn't the only one making mistakes, though.
BBC mistakenly identifies Pharrell, too
BBC commentator Guy Mowbray mistook Pharrell for his fellow rapper A$AP Rocky during the game on Sunday.
“I think that’s AKA Rocky or A$AP Rocky. Sorry,” Mowbray, 54, said on air.
ASAP Rocky was in attendance, but it was Pharrell that was being shown on screen when the mistake was made.
Onlookers also seemed to mistakenly identify Joe Burrow, as he skated by cameras with his rumored girlfriend, Olivia Ponton, during the game on Sunday afternoon.
The 2030 World Cup, meanwhile, could land at Netflix, where maybe they'll be better at identifying all the celebs in attendance.
