Benny Blanco posted a video of himself sailing across the Atlantic Ocean to join Selena Gomez in Europe for her 34th birthday tomorrow—and he made it safely. The couple didn’t stay in London, though, where Gomez has been filming Only Murders in the Building season 6.
Instead, they traveled to Bologna, Italy, and dined at Trattoria della Santa. The restaurant shared a photo of them and wrote on Instagram, “Thank you so much for eating with us ❤️” The couple matched in white, with Gomez opting for a slip dress and rainbow crochet bandana.
Blanco has a fear of flying. In March 2025, he explained how he works around that to go abroad. “I take the boat to Europe,” he told Jay Shetty during his On Purpose with Jay Shetty interview with Gomez. “Oh my God, it’s so long. It’s like first you have to drive to New York and then you get on a boat for eight days, and you’re on the Titanic.” (Blanco and Gomez live in California.)
The couple has been long distance while Gomez has been filming in London. Earlier this month, they met up in New York City for Taylor Swift’s wedding.
Blanco and Gomez will celebrate their first wedding anniversary at the end of September. On June 10, she shared new personal photos of them together, writing, “distance means so little when someone means so much…. @itsbennyblanco mish you bb 💙”
He left multiple comments, including “I fall more and more in love with you everyday” and “time stands still when I’m in ur arms.”
