New Liverpool signing Samuel Martinez has already told fans what they can expect from him in the future, after making a switch from Atletico Nacional.
The Reds secured the 17-year-old Colombian playmaker as one for the future, with the hope that he can become a regular in the senior side moving forward. The youngster is an attacking midfielder who has featured for his club and country at youth level, while he is still waiting to make his mark in the senior game.

Martinez himself has described his own playing style in a conversation with ESPN Colombia, where he explained the type of play that he enjoys being part of.
“The truth is, I like to change the pace going forward, always moving forward, taking on opponents,” he said when asked about his style.
“I can keep possession and also help defend because it’s not just about attacking; now you have to defend too. And that’s what I enjoy the most: getting the ball, taking on defenders, and dribbling.”
Martinez also outlined Liverpool hero Luis Diaz as an idol of his, with his fellow countryman viewed as someone he could emulate in his time with the Reds.
Diaz, 29, spent two-and-a-half-years at Anfield after joining from Porto, and quickly made himself a dependable player with 41 goals and 23 assists over 148 appearances.
The Colombian international picked up a Premier League title, an FA Cup, and two Carabao Cups, setting out a standard that Martinez will be hoping to follow up.

If the youngster can reach anywhere near those heights, then he will certainly have a successful career with Liverpool, one that is being increasingly built on the back of young talent.
Rio Ngumoha is the central figure for Liverpool as part of a rebuild, with the winger quickly establishing himself as a player with plenty of quality and lots of potential for the future shown in his breakout season last time out.
Other academy prospects such as Trey Nyoni and Jayden Danns will be looking to make a similar impact moving forward, as the Reds prepare for a new era under Andoni Iraola.
Martinez may have a wait before he can make a similar impact, but it's one that could help create a bright future at Anfield for both the player and the club.
