Just prior to his mid-show firing, former ESPN analyst Ryan Clark heavily praised New York Giants TE Isaiah Likely.

Former ESPN analyst Ryan Clark offered high praise for New York Giants tight end Isaiah Likely during a Monday appearance on NFL Live, just hours before learning he had been laid off by the network.

Clark, who began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with the Giants in 2002, highlighted Likely’s potential in the team’s offense alongside quarterback Jaxson Dart.

“When you think about how he was paired with Mark Andrews in Baltimore, he was the guy that gave you the explosive play that could stretch you down the seam,” Clark said. “Now with Jaxson Dart to give him an outlet that’s closer to the line of scrimmage, closer to the tackle box. ... He can have a young Travis Kelce effect for this New York Giants offense. I believe he’s just waiting to be unleashed.”

Likely signed a three-year, $40 million contract with the Giants this offseason after following head coach John Harbaugh from Baltimore. The 26-year-old recorded 1,568 receiving yards and 15 touchdowns over four seasons with the Ravens.

Clark’s comments came during the same broadcast in which he was informed of his departure after 11 years at ESPN. The network later shared a clip of his Likely analysis on social media.
