Out of the All-Star break, the Red Sox offense has continued to be one of the top in the MLB. In the month of July, Boston ranks top-10 in the MLB in the following categories:

With the win streak up to 14, Boston continues to get contributions throughout the lineup in positions where Anthony was expected to thrive. This includes both Wilyer Abreu and Caleb Durbin, both of whom have had go-ahead home runs late in games out of the All-Star break. It was Durbin's three-run shot that lifted the Red Sox to a victory in the series opener against the Orioles.

In July, Boston has eight players with 5+ RBIs, with a team slugging percentage just below .500. Out of the All-Star break, the Red Sox have scored 5+ runs in every single game, with players like Abreu, Durbin, Willson Contreras and Jarren Duran all producing.

The fact that Boston is putting together this streak without their star is even more remarkable.

How long is Roman Anthony out? 

Anthony continues to progress slowly from a ring finger injury that has kept him out since early May. The latest update, per MLB.com's Ari Keslow,  is that the star has yet to resume swinging a bat. He remains at the team's practice facility in Florida.

Anthony has been sidelined for over 11 weeks, and recent updates indicate the Red Sox will not clear him to resume hitting until all soreness in his hand is completely gone. While doctors typically project an 8-to-12 week recovery for similar injuries, team officials have emphasized they will not rush the process until Anthony is fully healed and confident at the plate.

Dr. Mark Cohen of Midwest Orthopaedics at Rush University told The Boston Globe's Alex Speier that a typical timetable for a true ligament tear to heal is 8-12 weeks, but he also noted that Anthony's injury is unprecedented.

"I've been doing this 32 years. I actually have never heard of a ring finger-isolated CMC ligament tear. The joints in which the ligaments get injured are usually not the CMC level," Cohen said. "They're at the knuckle or joints within the fingers. If you look up ring finger ligament sprain, you'll find nothing — zero — because it's not a common injury."

With how well Boston is playing, the team is not going to rush Anthony back. In fact, it will do quite the opposite to make sure the Red Sox superstar returns as healthy as possible for the stretch.
