The second season of Netflix’s Ransom Canyon returns Thursday, July 23, and Minka Kelly, who plays protagonist Quinn O’Grady, appeared on Good Morning America to promote the show’s comeback. Paparazzi caught Minka just outside the production studio in New York City, where she stepped out in a look that was a far cry from Quinn's signature ranch style.
Minka wore her hair in loose waves and donned cat-eye sunnies, black Bermuda shorts, and black pumps. But what stole the show was her top: an eye-catching silver mesh tank.
The sheer top glimmered in the city sunlight and featured a chainmail-like texture. We loved the boatneck cut, which served as a complementary contrast to the exposed side slits.
Our staff was so excited to see Minka hop on the sheer fashion fad, and we were impressed by how her outfit had that coveted “I didn't try too hard” energy. But Home & Apparel Reviews Analyst Amanda Constantine says that incorporating sheer into your wardrobe is easier now than ever before.
“It’s not just a red-carpet worthy trend or something to save for date night,” Constantine says. “There are a variety of types of materials like lightweight organza, openwork lace, chiffon, mesh, and more that fall under the sheer trend, so you’re not pigeonholed to one specific style.”
Constantine’s secret to wearing sheer anything? Layering. “I personally love layering sheer pieces for an everyday look. I even wear my sheer clothing to the office,” she says. “A see-through lace skirt over a pair of jeans, a tulle dress under a boxy tee, a sheer long-sleeve top peeking out from a button-down blouse with rolled-up sleeves, a capelet or shawl over a tank top.”
