Purina’s Prime Video series “A Different Breed” landed three Daytime Emmy nominations, including directing, editing and lifestyle program.

The Prime Video docuseries "A Different Breed" from St. Louis-based Purina has been nominated for three Daytime Emmy Awards.

A nine-episode documentary series, "'A Different Breed' follows 18 teams on the road to the Purina Pro Plan Incredible Dog Challenge National Finals" in Gray Summit, Missouri — located about 40 miles southwest of St. Louis. The docuseries puts "the spotlight on competitors, their dogs and the extraordinary relationships that drive them."

The three nods from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences include Outstanding Lifestyle Program, Outstanding Editing and Outstanding Directing.

"The way people discover and engage with content continues to evolve, and we're evolving with them," Andrea Faccio, president and chief growth officer at Purina, said in a statement. "At Purina, we've always believed the bond between people and pets is full of inspiring stories. 'A Different Breed' gave us the opportunity to share those stories in a way people actively choose to experience, and we're incredibly proud to see them recognized alongside some of the industry's most celebrated programs."

Purina has been based in St. Louis for more than 100 years. At the start of the 21st century, Nestle bought the company and kept their pet care operations headquarters at its longtime location on Checkerboard Square in downtown.
